Stek has successfully represented the three healthcare providers Schakelring, De Riethorst Stromenland and Volckaert in the second phase merger control procedure before the Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM). The ACM cleared the merger within 13 weeks, making it one of the fastest second phase decisions for healthcare mergers in the ACM’s history.

As a result of the clearance, the merger between the three healthcare providers may be completed. With the merger, the merging parties aim to better align the provision of healthcare services with the increasing and more complex demand for healthcare, amongst other things.
