About us

Stek is an independent Dutch business law firm based in Amsterdam. After its founding in 2005, Stek has quickly become an established and respected player in the business law sector.

Excellent firm that understands very well what the client requires”

Chambers Europe

Our team

Our team has a wide range of backgrounds. Many of our lawyers have worked at leading national and international law firms and have held top-tier in-house legal positions. Stek brings that accumulated expertise and professionalism to the client, but in a leaner, more direct, and accessible way. Excellent service and a focused, hands-on, personal approach to the client’s legal needs is what sets our lawyers apart. Over the years, we have assembled a top team of lawyers that combine in-depth legal and sector expertise with commercial awareness and a ‘can-do’ mentality.

How we work

Our firm’s independent status and our vision guarantee that our clients’ interests always come first. We believe in building strong, long-lasting, and collaborative relationships with our clients. That allows us to truly understand and anticipate our clients’ business needs and challenges and align our legal solutions with them.

Value for money is as important to us as it is to our clients. We offer competitive rates and work in small and efficient teams, ensuring hands-on partner or counsel involvement in every project. We also have the ability and flexibility within our firm to expand our teams where necessary.

Recognition

Our clients value our proactive, personal, and solution-oriented approach: our lawyers are recommended in the prestigious international legal ranking guides Chambers Europe & Global and Legal 500 in almost all of our practice areas and sectors. Stek was awarded the Chambers Europe Client Service Award in 2011 in recognition of its client-oriented focus, and received that award again in 2017. Stek was also named Best Dutch M&A Law Boutique at the 2018 Dutch M&A Awards.
