Stek has successfully represented Corendon International Travel B.V. (Corendon) together with a team from Geradin Partners in fending of a multimillion euro claim of Prijsvrij.nl B.V. (Prijsvrij).
In 2013, Corendon terminated an agency agreement concluded between it and Prijsvrij. Prijsvrij took the position that the termination was null and void and claimed several million euros in damages from Corendon. By judgment of 26 July 2017, the North Holland District Court rejected Prijsvrij’s claims in full.
The appeal filed by Prijsvrij against this judgment dragged on for years and led to several interim judgments. In a judgment of October 1, 2024, the Amsterdam Court of Appeal ultimately ruled in favor of Corendon, confirming the judgment of the North Holland District Court and ordering Prijsvrij to pay the procedural costs.
