Stek advised Foresco Group with the acquisition of Vierhouten Palletindustrie (Gelderland) and De With Pallets (Flevoland).
This acquisition strengthens Foresco’s position as market leader in the Benelux in the production and repair of wooden pallets, which Foresco supplies to production companies, large e-commerce companies and logistics players. Vierhouten and De With jointly produce and sell 4.3 million new and used pallets on an annual basis.
On 20 February 2025, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) has cleared the acquisition. This clearance decision follows an in-depth investigation, in which the ACM investigated the possible competitive effects of the transaction. The ACM concluded that Foresco would still face sufficient competitive pressure after this acquisition.
