Since joining Stek in 2020, he has played an important role in the continued growth of our Corporate M&A practice. Elias specialises in mergers and acquisitions in the technology sector and will continue to focus on this area in the coming years. He also regularly works for foreign private equity funds on cross-border transactions.

His pragmatic approach and strong technical expertise have made him a trusted adviser to financial institutions and corporates on financing transactions, often in an international context. Merijn’s key areas of expertise are asset based lending, receivables financings, lease, concession financings and general corporate lending. He also frequently publishes blogs and articles in leading law journals.
Gerard advises and litigates on a wide range of complex energy law and regulatory matters as part of our multidisciplinary Energy team. He advises on the regulatory aspects of transactions and represents clients in proceedings involving other market participants, public authorities, and regulatory bodies. He regularly acts for industrial companies as well as national and international energy suppliers, producers, and traders. With broad experience across the energy sector and a talent for quickly getting to the heart of complex issues, he helps clients navigate a market that is constantly evolving.
Veii Jacobs (Partner Regulatory): “We are delighted with Gerard’s appointment as Counsel. Over the past few years, he has proven his value by advising on some of the most complex energy matters and has made a significant contribution to the growth of our Energy practice and to strengthening collaboration across the firm. We look forward to continuing to build our Energy practice together with him.”
These appointments reflect the continued development of our Corporate M&A, Finance, Restructuring & Insolvency and Energy practices and recognise the important contribution Elias, Merijn and Gerard have made to our clients and firm over the years.
