Stek victorious for Stedin in civil litigation against Essent

Stek has successfully represented energy distribution company Stedin in civil litigation against balance responsible party Essent (part of E.On) before the District Court Oost-Brabant. The claim of Stedin was based on an interpretation of the market processes and the roles of the various market parties with respect to corrected metering data. In an extensively motivated interim judgment of 9 December 2020 the court sided with Stedin’s interpretation and already awarded virtually the entire claim of Stedin.
