Stek successful for energy distribution companies in appeal over network tariffs 2017-2021

Stek has successfully represented the regional electricity and gas distribution companies, through their representative organization Netbeheer Nederland, in an appeal before the Administrative High Court for Trade and Industry (CBb) against the method decisions electricity and gas for the years 2017-2021 of the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). The appeal concerned the level of the weighted average cost of capital (WACC), the reasonable return on investment for the distribution companies. By judgment of 28 November 2019 the CBb has set the WACC slightly higher, as a result of which the return on investment of the regional distribution companies over the years 2017-2021 will be increased by approximately EUR 90 million.
