Stek appoints three new counsel

We are happy to announce that Katinka van den Brink, Linde Bremmer and Mattijs Baneke have been appointed counsel at Stek!

Katinka – banking & finance

Katinka is an attorney in our banking & financing department and a member of Stek’s Energy team. She advises both lenders and borrowers in national as well as cross-border finance transactions in general. She specialises in project finance, with an emphasis on financings within the energy transition. She acts as counsel to lenders and projects with the financing of, amongst others, solar- and windfarms, geothermal energy and biomass projects, networks and charging poles. She also advises with real estate- and leisure finance transactions.

Sharon Kaufmann (partner banking & finance): “Katinka as a person is a perfect fit for Stek, but also for our clients. She is an excellent lawyer and knows how to bring parties together in a very pleasant way with her patience and calm way of explaining things. Katinka is a very valuable member of our finance and energy team and we are delighted with this promotion.”

Linde and Mattijs – competition law

Linde is a strategically sharp advisor and has vast experience in public competition law enforcement as well as competition litigation. Linde also assists clients with state aid cases and disputes on the application of European law. Clients not only value Linde’s knowledge of market regulation and competition in regulated markets such as healthcare, post, transport and energy, but also frequently seek her advice on sustainability issues.

Mattijs is a dedicated and creative competition lawyer. At Stek, Mattijs has become an experienced and effective advisor to his clients. He has a particular interest in merger control and distribution agreements. More recently, his areas of focus have expanded to the new Dutch FDI screening rules and the aviation sector.

Ruben Elkerbout (partner competition law): “We see that our clients’ need for high-quality advice in competition cases is growing rapidly. Linde and Mattijs are both exceptionally talented and are a joy to work with. Their appointment further enhances and reinforces our strong team of competition lawyers.”
