Stek advises Limburgs Energiefonds on acquisition Mijnwater

Stek advised Limburgs Energiefonds on the acquisition of Mijnwater from the municipality of Heerlen. Mijnwater provides for a cost effective operation and exploitation of heat and cold as a source of renewable energy by using mine water (mine passages of closed coal mines that have been filled with groundwater). Mijnwater developed innovative infrastructure for the distribution of heat and cold throughout the municipality of Heerlen. Limburgs Energiefonds is a 90 million fund that supports projects in energy savings, sustainable energy production, energy transition and circular projects in the Dutch province of Limburg.
