Stek advises Audax on the acquisition of Bruna

Audax Groep has acquired franchise- and retail formula Bruna from Shared Stories Group. Bruna is a Dutch retailer operating 273 shops (including the franchise formula) in the Netherlands, selling inter alia (children’s) books, e-books, magazines, newspapers, gift cards, greeting cards and paper- and writing materials. Audax is a business platform for logistics retail with a focus on creating, marketing, distributing and selling print media, other products and services. The acquisition of Bruna by Audax had to be notified to the Dutch Competition Authority for merger clearance. Stek has advised Audax on this acquisition and on the merger control procedure before the Dutch Competition Authority.
