We are excited to announce that Katinka van den Brink has been appointed partner at Stek as of 1 January 2026.
Katinka is part of our Banking & Finance practice and a member of Stek’s integrated Energy team. Since joining Stek in 2018, she has played a key role in strengthening our financing practice and developing our project finance practice.
Katinka specialises in project financings within the energy transition and has extensive experience advising on complex financing transactions involving emerging asset classes, including geothermal energy, BESS, heating networks and biomethane. Her appointment further strengthens Stek’s expertise in sustainable energy projects and supports our ambition to provide high-quality legal advice to clients active in the energy transition, both in the Netherlands and internationally.
In addition to her core specialism, Katinka has significant experience with real estate finance (including leisure), the financing of digital infrastructure, and general corporate lending. She has proven herself to be a highly skilled lawyer that feels at ease advising on first-of-a-kind projects. Clients appreciate her legal expertise as well as her pragmatism and ability to bring structure and clarity in complex discussions.
We are delighted that Katinka, as partner, will continue developing the practice and support our clients with the same sharpness, dedication and expertise.
Stek’s Banking & Finance and Restructuring & Insolvency team will now be led by four female partners — a remarkable composition within the legal profession, and something we at Stek are proud of. We warmly congratulate Katinka on her appointment!
