Gerben Smit partner
Gerben is an expert in (inter)national contract law and specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration. His practice covers the full range of commercial dispute resolution, with an emphasis on banking and finance litigation, (financial) product liability, follow-on (cartel) damage claims and M&A-related disputes. With his in-depth knowledge of the leisure market Gerben advises several important undertakings active in the leisure market.
Gerben was a senior associate in the litigation and corporate departments of Allen & Overy and a legal counsel at a producer of wind turbines before joining Stek in 2010. Gerben is a contributor to the Kluwer legal monthly Rechtspraak Contractenrecht (Contracts Case Law) and a member of, amongst others, the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA), the Dutch Association for Procedural Law and NAI Jong Oranje of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute.
