Stek successful for Liander in landmark ruling

On 20 May 2014 the High Administrative Court (CBb) ruled on the appeal of Liander against a binding order by the Autority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) relating to the safety of the public lightning in Amsterdam. In the much-publicized ruling the CBb concurred with Liander that ACM has overstepped the boundaries of its powers. The binding order has been quashed and parties have been given a window of opportunity to agree on the damages to be awarded to Liander before the CBb continues the proceeding.
