Stek advises Stedin Groep on the auction sale of Joulz to 3i Infrastructure

Stek advised Stedin Group on the sale of Joulz through a controlled auction process to 3i Infrastructure for a purchase price of EUR 310.4 million. Prior to the transaction process, a carve-out of Joulz from the Stedin Group was effected. Joulz consists of two business units, Joulz Infradiensten and Joulz Meetbedrijf. Joulz Infradiensten Infrastructure Services facilitates decentralised energy supply ‘behind the meter’ and designs, builds and manages medium-voltage installations. Joulz Meetbedrijf supplies, maintains and manages metering equipment for collecting electricity, gas and heating consumption data. The intention is that 3i Infrastructure will acquire ownership of Joulz in the second quarter of 2019. 3i Infrastructure is a British investment company, which long-term investments mainly include infrastructure companies.
