Stek advises FMO and Triodos

Stek advised FMO and Triodos Innovation Fund on their equity investment in WWR Bangladesh Holding (WWR). WWR will set up an organic waste-to-compost plant in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the first project in the world where carbon credits will be earned through composting activities. WWR’s other shareholders are World Wide Recycling and Waste Concern Consultants. In 2002 Waste Concern, a Bangladesh NGO, received the United Nation’s prestigious “Poverty Eradication Award” for its work on waste and environment management in Bangladesh. FMO is the international development bank of the Netherlands. Triodos Innovation Fund invests in innovative environment friendly project and is controlled by Triodos Bank.
